FAQThe Practical Stuff
-
We have a flat fee across all our therapists of $190. This applies for all session types (individual, couple, and family).
In other words, we do not charge more for more people - our fee is based on our therapist’s time and expertise.
-
Therapy sessions are not covered by OHIP, but they may be covered by private insurance or extended health benefits. To confirm eligibility, please review your benefits plan to see which mental health professionals are included and share this information with us when booking your first session.
If your plan only covers specific types of therapy professionals, please let us know so we can ensure you’re matched with a therapist whose credentials will be covered.
-
The first thing we recommend is to look through our therapist’s pages, where you can learn more about their background, education, and approach.
You might resonate with one (or a few!) of our therapists. In that case, you can book an appointment right away, or schedule 15-minute phone consultations before deciding who feels like the right fit.
If you’re unsure where to begin, you can also ask to be matched by our intake coordinator by completing our contact form and selecting “Match Me”.
-
As soon as you’d like! As long as a therapist has open slots on their booking page, you are welcome to book your first appointment right away.
-
We require 48 hour notice for cancellations or you will be responsible for the regular session fee. We understand that there are exceptional circumstances, because of illness or emergency where it may not be possible to provide such notice, and we are willing to be flexible in these specific circumstances on a case by case basis.
You are welcome to notify us by phone or email should you need to cancel or reschedule and we request that you reach out directly to your therapist - as they are your point of contact once you have booked your initial appointment.
