In Yasmin’s Words
What I love most about this work is the privilege of walking alongside people as they make sense of their experiences and build deeper, healthier connections. My own therapy journey helped me work through pain, loss, and grief, and has been a huge support in my marriage and personal life. Therapy has shown me the power of presence, empathy and openness, & the courage it takes to keep growing.

Q&A
-
I grew up in a close Egyptian family, surrounded by love, laughter, and sometimes heartache. The challenges and losses my family and I faced together in those early years stayed with me and later made me wonder how people find strength, how families hold each other together, and how we heal. These early experiences made me driven to help those around me feel less alone. Over time, that desire grew into a deep commitment, and becoming a therapist felt like the most meaningful way to fulfill it.

I chose to specialize in couple and family therapy because I saw up close how powerful it can be; watching people I care about work on their marriage in therapy showed me what commitment and resilience look like, even through loss, trauma, and conflict. During my early professional years in hospital settings, I saw how much early childhood and family relationships shape who we become, and I wanted to help couples build stronger, healthier bonds that can grow into a solid foundation for the family life they hope for.
