More About Krishna

Krishna takes a compassionate, curious, and collaborative stance when working with traditional and non-traditional couples. She works systemically to help her clients gain insight into patterns, begin the process of interrupting defensive structures within a safe space, tolerate difficult emotions that arise, and develop courage to express oneself authentically and positively to significant others. Her therapeutic style is a blend of insight development and practical tools to support both the mind and body, such that harmony within and with others can be attained.

Krishna uses an integrative and holistic approach in therapy depending on your needs, context, and comfort. This means that she draws from various proven therapy models [such as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic techniques (listening to and supporting the body), Solution Focused Therapy (strength based, actionable), Narrative Therapy (re-writing the story) and more. She believes that most of what we are and what we do- is a response to life; our learned patterns, ways of being, coping, feeling, existing and perseverate for important reasons- for protection and therapy is the process of understanding this inner wisdom that exists in us all, holding compassion for these different parts of us, learning to feel in ways that are safe, and integrating this wisdom in our daily lives. She is in awe of the resilience of the human body and spirit.

She is sensitive, open to feedback, using therapeutic space and relationship as a microcosm of the outside world. She is trained to work with folks who might have experienced developmental trauma, and holds an anti-oppressive lens, inclusive of all. She welcomes people from different cultural contexts- striving constantly to grow and learn with them. She recognises the significance of cultural context and life experiences in shaping ideas, identities, personalities, and perspectives of individuals; striving to practice with humility when working with people from diverse backgrounds (including but not limited to diversity based on culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, relationship format, ability, past experiences of trauma, mental/physical health etc).

In Krishna’s Words

Becoming a therapist has been a process of natural unfolding - rooted in my own journey of healing, inquiry, and longing for depth. Sitting with others in their vulnerability has taught me so much about resilience, tenderness, and the quiet strength that comes from being seen. I’ve learned that love, presence, and safety - both within and between us - can transform even the most stuck places. This work continues to shape how I live, love, and relate to the world - with softness, with curiosity, and with trust in the process.

Q&A

  • My quest for intellectual understanding gradually deepened into an emotional awakening, and has over time, become an embodied experience. This unfolding is still ongoing—a timeless journey toward wholeness that continues to humble and expand me.

At the heart of this path is a longing for meaning, depth, and truth. I’ve always been drawn to philosophical and spiritual inquiry, and for me, therapy is one way to live that calling—to sit in the mystery, witness transformation, and hold space for what is most human and most sacred.

I’m someone who truly loves people. I became a therapist to connect more deeply with others, to meet them in their vulnerability, and to walk alongside them as they reclaim parts of themselves that were forgotten, hidden, or shamed.

Ultimately, I believe that love is the most powerful force we have. Being a therapist is my way of offering that love to the world—in grounded, attuned, and intentional ways.

  • I chose to specialize in couple and family therapy because I believe our relationships shape us in profound ways. Who we are, how we move through the world, what we believe about ourselves—all of it is deeply influenced by the quality of the relationships we experience. When we invest in healing and deepening those connections, the ripple effect can transform our entire lives.

I’ve always had a natural tendency to view people in context—considering their environment, culture, family history, relational dynamics, and more. The systemic approach of couple and family therapy deeply resonated with this lens. It invites inclusivity and complexity, allowing us to understand struggles as part of a larger, interconnected dance.

I also hold a deep belief that when we can slow down, feel grounded, and access a sense of internal safety, we can truly thrive. For me, this sense of safety is often rooted in co-regulation, in feeling seen and met by another. Couple and family work offers a beautiful opportunity to create those moments of connection and belonging that are so foundational to healing.
